Presenting a diverse range of genres, this Vancouver based band enlightened the sold out house at Performance Works on June 26th. Each musician brought their skills to the forefront and the music was well blended as a group. Each tune was melodic with voice matching to their music, with brass and piano shining through.

Hearts and Trompet off their ‘Slow Knots’ album was a wonderful melody about sailboats and seaweed, many in the audience were singing along to this tune throughout. Edo Van Breeman on vocals and keyboard leads the groups melodic meandering so well.

Their music is experimental, orchestral pop influenced in jazz, and infused in electronica. Other band members included Bryan Davies (Trumpet, Glockenspeil), Brennan Saul (Drums), John Walsh (Basses, Guitar), Samuel Davidson (Clarinet, EWI), Tariq Hussain (Lap Steel, Guitar). This concert was presented by the TD Vancouver International Jazz Festival.
