On Friday night October 14, I attended the Vancouver International Film Festival Closing Gala Party at the Salt Building. Guests mingled about in the Casbah themed space to celebrate the sold out party and end an amazing run festival that showcased films from all over the world.
Middle Eastern cuisine from O’Douls/Listel Hotel included a lamb tagine as well as many other dishes for eating and nibbling.
A Chill Lounge, resplendent with sultan’s cushions along with a Bellydancer provided the perfect backdrop.
Iraqui singer Alen Elias entertained along with DJ Flipout!
30th Vancouver International Film Festival ran from September 29 – October 14, 2011 and screened over 350 films.
