Running at The Cultch as part of the Vancouver Fringe Festival this tragicomedy is a one-man (or more appropriately said, one-woman) show. The only character, Maddie, is beautifully played by Hazel Venzon. With a quite dark sense of humour, product of the mood swings she suffers because of her ordeal to lose weight and the attempt to overcome a failed relationship, Maddie is a young woman who narrates part of her life story, which has put her into some physical and psychological ordeal product of her pursuit of getting in shape and putting her life in order.

Produced by Loretta Seto and directed by Lesley Ewen, this play is an interesting piece that for the full 35 minutes of its duration keeps the audience well entertained and engaged in the story, sometimes laughing and some other times holding back a tear or two.
