Wonderful performance of My Little Tomato at The Cultch the other night with a great cast that featured Nelson Wong, Taylor Kare and Shay Dior. It is a fun live show co-produced by Vancouver Asian Theatre, Zee Zee Theatre and Rice and Beans Theatre.  @

In this fun gay rom-com, Keaton Chu (Nelson Wong), a Chinese-Canadian kindergarten teacher, inherits a farm from his deceased parents and vows to continue the business to honour his family name. Unlucky in love in real life, he begins to pour his heart out into every fruit and vegetable, believing that every life form has a purpose even when they’re deformed.

When Japanese-Irish-Canadian produce wholesaler and bar star Joe McKinley (Taylor Kare) unwittingly falls for Keaton, they struggle to deal with historical, familial, cultural and relationship issues while proving love is possible—even when dirty rotten tomatoes squeeze in on the fun!

It is a great show, try to get tickets before the run ends as it is on for a limited run.
