I met some wine makers today who travelled to Vancouver for the Vancouver Playhouse International Wine Festival. For them the journey is not only to visit wine festival in Vancouver but to eat out in the restaurants and to explore the tastes and smells of eating and drinking while travelling. This of course is what Culinary Travel is all about and what better way than to try some of the foods Vancouver is known for such as its abundant seafood. The journey for many attending this wine festival has started off in different parts of the world, today I talked with people from New Zealand and Argentina who have come to take part in this festival, to pour wine, and talk with the trade and the consumers about their wine as well as wine from their home country.
