The Winter FUSE took place on February 24th at the Vancouver Art Gallery, I watched a variety of entertainers dj, breakdance, throughout the gallery. The theme was Beat Nation: Art, Hip Hop and Aboriginal Culture. Performers included Dedos, A Tribe Called Red and many more.
Dedos recognized as one of Canada’s graffiti/bad boy pioneers, this Juno award winning artist wowed gallery visitors with a dance style that was unique and wowed us all.
The Beat Nation art collection was one of my favourites mixing Aboriginal Culture and Hip Hop.
A Tribe Called Red is a DJ collective dubstep that re-mixes native American drums with dubstep and these guys had the crowd dancing on the 4th floor through the entire set.
The Young Associates hosted a very cool photo prop set-up, where you could grab a prop or two and then pose with your friend, this was fun and I did it with my friend as well.
