While I was at Feast Portland this past September, I was invited to an industry event, celebrating three very different winemakers from Washington state paired with delicious Thai and Southern bbq.

Each winery served up 3 flights of 3 different wines paired up with family style sharing dishes.

1st Course

Brisket and Boudain and Thai Fried Egg Salad

Field Greens with tamarind, shallot, toasted coconut, seasonal fruit — great flavours

Wines of Sagemoor 2017 Without Rehearsal Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon and this one was my favourite for this pairing.

Damsel Cellars 2017 Boushey Vineyards Grenache

Wines of Sagemoor 2016 Carving Blocks dry Riesling, loved this wine as well

4th Course

Banana and Chocolate Pie

The Banana and Chocolate Pie with coconut cream was the perfect finish.
